On Saturday, fourteenth of March, I went to Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum with Dennis after lunch. There was an exhibition of pictures of bulls on the floor. We went upstairs to see how good those artworks were.
The supervisor asked us if we are students form Nanjing foreign language school, and we answered him yes. He told us that there were several students from our school went there in the morning. We thought they might be GCA students. The name of the exhibition was exhibition of the year of the Ox. All the pictures were drawn by the members of the Jiangsu provincial flower-bird painting association. Some of them were vivid while some were not so good. I liked the picture of the couple of cattle best. The painter made this in a traditional way. The cow was pale while the ox was dark; they put their heads very close and face to face. I can get to know their love from their eye contacts. It seems that the painter used the technique of personification and the cattle were two lovers. I like the idea of this art work and some details in it.

fashion show

April 27th,2009, I came to the [lace where fashion show begain~
It was 6:10, the Fashion Show began with all people’s exciting shouts. At the beginning, on the large stage, there were students wearing causual clothes as hosts, and after announcing for a while, with music fluttering up and down, all the teachers wearing special clothes walked on to the stage. Ms.Bartell and Ms.Hadley first came into our eyes with flowers in their hair which seemed a little bit classic( like in ancient China). After female teachers, Mr.Harris was striding and dressed a brown suit with sunglasses on. I thought: WOW! Mr.Harris was so cool and totally different than I considered before! Is that Mr.Harris... The next followed, it’s Mr.Shapour! It’s the most interesting one all over the world! His body was covered by a silver space suit which on the back there was the sign "GCA" for short standing for our school. So funny, eh?
The fashion show was really interesting, however, unluckily, some parts of this project could be improved. For example, the show only lasted for about an hour, and during the festival, all students or teachers who were not models didn't have chances to show their enthusiasm by participiating in the activity. More fun could be held up, and more students would join, not only standed and looked at the models. The ticket price is very cheap, only 15 RMB each person. Some thought that the fashion show was not as good as they thought, but I realized it’s a meaningful experience for us, though there some pities left. I was happy that I could have a chance to go to such a cool performance, and I am also very expected for the next time, the magnificent fashion show!

special dinner

We decide to Dayu cafeteria and every thing seems like normally ,but when we walked in to it ,some bad things happened..
I know I am not patient enough that day,however,who can wait 1 hour and a half for a dinner?You may ask 'why did you wait for a long time ?'Because we chat with each other happily and forgoet the time...
When we notice the time we spent ,we know that we have not seen the watch for a long long time.I don't know what's wrong with the waiters or cooks.I become mad and can not bear it any more .I try to ask their manager ,I think they have a big trouble and need to fix it .I tell the manager that if she not compensate us they may get more troubles .At last they desid to give us the dinner for free because the waste us so much time!

Cultural Awareness

On the twentieth of December, most of our classmates went Tacos on the Zhujiang Road to have dinner with the grade 12 students.
Tacos is a western restaurant, the environment is good for eat, but there was so many GCA 10-A students, so it looks messy. We started to order the food we wanted .Their waiter are very patient they introduced some delicious food for me. I ordered chicken rice and a cup of Ice coffee, because there was too much food to cook, we waited for the food a long time. But it was not very boring, during that time, I watched movies with Chester on my laptop. I think the food taste not bad, so next time I will take my family member to their eat. After dinner, some of us went to a KTV to sing.
I enjoy my food very much because I like the environment and I spent a lot of time to chat with my friend .That is my best dinner with my classmates.
